About Pro Shield

Local Colorado contractor. Not a storm chaser.

Pro Shield Roofing & Painting is a Lakewood-based contractor serving the seven counties of greater Denver and the State of Colorado. We exist to be the contractor homeowners can still call a year after the project closes.

Illustrative: a roof staged for tear-off and install. Synthetic underlayment, drip edge, and a written scope come before the first shingle.

What we believe

Most of the friction homeowners have with contractors comes from one thing: the contractor is not around when something needs fixing. Storm chasers operate on a one-event business model. They book hundreds of jobs in a season, install fast, and disappear. When the workmanship fails three years later, the phone number is dead.

Pro Shield is the opposite of that. We live and work in Colorado, we answer warranty calls, and we take referrals seriously because most of our work comes from them.

What we do

Roofing replacement, roof repair, leak diagnostics, ventilation corrections, gutter installation, and skylight work on asphalt and metal systems. Residential painting on exteriors, interiors, cabinets, fences, and decks. Hail and wind insurance claim support on legitimate damage.

What we will not do

We will not invent damage to push an insurance claim. We will not promise to waive your deductible (that is illegal in Colorado). We will not pressure-sell a roof replacement when a $500 repair fixes the actual problem.

Where we work

Our home market is the Lakewood, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Edgewater, and west Denver corridor. We work regularly across all seven counties of greater Denver: Jefferson, Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Broomfield, and Boulder. Larger projects across the rest of Colorado are reviewed case by case.

Licensed, insured, and standing behind the work

Pro Shield LLC is a licensed and insured Colorado roofing and painting contractor. Every project includes a written workmanship warranty in addition to the manufacturer material warranty. The name on the warranty is the same name on this site, and the phone number is local.

The standards we work to

Pro Shield writes scopes that comply with the International Residential Code (IRC) provisions Colorado jurisdictions enforce: drip edge at eaves and rakes (IRC R905.2.8.5), ice and water shield at eaves extending at least 24 inches past the warm wall (IRC R905.1.2), and balanced attic ventilation per IRC R806. We follow asphalt manufacturer installation specifications (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Malarkey) so that system warranties stay enforceable.

On insurance work we operate under Colorado Revised Statute 18-5-211, which prohibits any contractor from rebating, waiving, or absorbing a homeowners insurance deductible. On wildfire-zone projects we align with the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code (effective 2025) and HB23-1273 grant-eligible assemblies. See our licensing and service area page and the insurance disclaimer for the full operating boundary.
